The FLO Children's Centre in Banlung, in the Ratanakiri region of Cambodia, recently welcomed Karl S., the sponsor of one of the centre's children, from Austria. He was accompanied by a friend during his visit.

FLO – Future Light Organization, partner of kleine herzen In Cambodia, it offers disadvantaged children far more than just a roof over their heads: a future.
At their centers in Phnom Penh and Banlung, children gain access to school, learn foreign languages and discover the digital world – essential keys to building their lives in dignity and hope.

This visit provided an opportunity to demonstrate the concrete impact of a dedicated and responsible contribution.

Karl and his friends had already taken over the financing of a bicycle shelter – an important and sustainable piece of infrastructure for the center.

The bicycle shelter provides secure storage for the bicycles used daily by the children, especially for their commute to school and other activities. It thus contributes significantly to safety, the longevity of the equipment, and a better organization of daily life at the center.

During his stay, Karl also wanted to share a moment of community and joy with the children and organized a special day with pizza, soft drinks, and ice cream, as well as a visit to the local market where each child could choose a small gift. These shared moments strengthen the human connection that is central to our work and promote the children's well-being and development.

We sincerely thank Karl for his reliable commitment and exemplary support.

His commitment highlights the great importance of partnerships and sponsorships for the implementation of sustainable projects to improve the living conditions of the children we support.
