Ukraine, Christmas 2025

Amidst the horrors of war, where freezing cold and electricity, heatHeating and water outages are plunging families into indescribable hardship, has kleine herzen mobilized with all his strength to bring hope and comfort to the most vulnerable children.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of our local partners - SaveUkraine and Caritas-Spes Ukraine  – as well as the generosity of our donors, 855 children were able to experience a moment of light and security as part of our Christmas project.

For a moment they rediscovered a piece of normality and joy, rescued from an everyday life characterized by profoundly inhumane living conditions.

The ORF reporter Christian Wehrschutz He traveled to Zaporizhzhia to film the distribution of gifts to children living very close to the combat zones. The report was broadcast on December 23 at 13:15 PM. Currently after one broadcast.

  • Our appreciation also goes to all other supporters of this project – Donors from Austria, Germany and France, as well as our friends and partners – for your commitment and your humanity.

With your gesture, you are giving these children far more than a toy or a Christmas present: you are giving them warmth, hope, and the certainty of not being forgotten.
They are all bearers of peace and hope.

With the following photos, we would like to share with you the power of this shared commitment and the recurring joy of the children.

The preparation of the gifts sometimes took place in shelters due to air raid warnings, and sometimes even without light.

We are deeply touched by the dedication of the staff of Caritas-Spes and Save Ukraine, who have done everything in their power to successfully implement this project.
