The Christmas Angels 2024 campaign began in November and lasted until February 2025. Around 250 gifts, generously donated by people with big hearts – including Employees of Daiichi Sankyo Europe, Strautman in Germany, ACCOR Hotels and numerous private sponsors – were collected and brought to Kyiv at the end of February.
This project would not have been possible without the solidarity of numerous partners. Our special thanks go to our long-standing partner, Gschwindl, for the storage of gifts, as well as the organization Vienna Mission for Ukraine for the logistical organization of transport to Ukraine. After their arrival in Lviv, Ukraine, the parcels were transported via the postal company Nova Posta to our partner SaveUkraine forwarded in Kyiv.
Unfortunately, some packages were lost en route. We deeply regret this. Despite our best efforts, we don't know where or how this could have happened; the logistical situation in Ukraine is currently difficult.
The distribution of the gifts could only take place in May, delayed by the tragic escalation of the armed conflict and the profound impact of the sudden cessation of USAID support. Despite these adverse circumstances, our determination to bring a little light to these children has never wavered.
And today, with great emotion, we share the photos of the children discovering their gifts. Their smiles, their eyes shining with joy, are the most beautiful thanks, the most precious reward. In the midst of war, these moments of pure happiness are like rays of light breaking through the darkness.
