I welcome our five babushkas and three diedushkas. We will do everything that is necessary so that they can lead a decent life in Austria.
The staff and director of the orphanage have already taken the initiative to help them.

And then where? To Ukraine? no one can take care of them anymore, war can break out anywhere and there are few places to live, so they are evacuated from Ukraine.
5 grandmothers, all named Valentina, and 3 grandfathers have been living for 3 days in Burgau, less than 4 km from the Ukrainian orphanage with 63 young children that was evacuated on March 27th.

They arrived exhausted, depressed and lost in a country they do not know.

The reception they received was overwhelming. Some residents of this pretty little town in Styria on the border with Burgenland were present and ready to receive them emotionally and help them to go to sleep. Mayor Gregor Löffler welcomed them with open arms and organized everything that was needed to make them feel comfortable. It is a joy to experience this dedication to helping those who are suffering.

I thank all those who have prepared everything to give them a warm welcome and all those who support and will support them. Thank you for your humanity!
