Robert Bayer was born in Germany and is a trained master butcher, now retired.
As the widower of Christine, the love of his life, he learned to cope with his loneliness by turning to other people and painting. Painting was always a place of freedom, solace, and expression for him.
A self-taught artist, Robert has been painting since early childhood. Deeply inspired by the works of Carl Spitzweg and Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller, he creates delicate copies – true little treasures – in acrylic. Small figures move against bright, inviting backgrounds: they stroll, meet each other, rest, or concentrate on the simple tasks of everyday life.
With his paintings, Robert invites the viewer on a quiet journey into simple and profoundly human scenes.
For over three years, Robert has been involved as a sponsor of a disadvantaged child in Cambodia, working alongside... kleine herzen.
Because solidarity is a matter close to his heart, he wanted to deepen his commitment even further:
Ab now he gives a gift to everyone who makes a donation to kleine herzen of 150 euros or more for kleine herzen undertake projects, one of his framed works including shipping (within Europe). (*)
